Common Law Cabin is, amongst other things, a four piece rock band from Seattle Washington. They write, perform and record songs about Midwestern winters, domestic tranquility, nostalgia and cars. Their sound draws from indie rock (Pixies, Pavement), Alt.country (Wilco, Palace Brothers), 70’s/80’s Alternative (Joy Division, The Cure) and Classic Rock (Pink Floyd, The Doors). They have performed at Seattle venues like the Sunset Tavern, El Corazon and the Skylark Café. They have recorded at Fastback studios and, more recently, at Bear Creek Studios with engineer/producer Jerry Streeter (Brandi Carlile, The Lumineers, etc.). They also have kids, wives, pets, hobbies, and other things you probably aren’t interested in but feel free to ask. Don’t ask Steven about his effects pedals, though. Please. Just don’t get him started.
